Omega Seamaster 300 SPECTRE Limited Edition 233.32.41.21.01.001

Omega Seamaster 300 Spectre Limited Edition 233.32.41.21.01.001 If you're a serious Bond fan and a keen diver, the OMEGA Seamaster 300 SPECTRE Limited Edition 233.32.41.21.01.001 is your grail watch. A collector's piece and a serious diver's watch, this timepiece made history. It's the first watch worn by Bond that's ever been made available as a limited edition model. It's the same as the one Daniel Craig sported in Spectre. They only made 7,007 of them but when you consider that Spectre is the second-highest-grossing Bond film ever, it's a relatively small production run.
Water-resistant to 30 bar (300 m), this is a luxury diver's watch full of unique features. Let's start with the James Bond NATO strap. It's a textile bracelet with five black and grey stripes. If you know your Bond, you'll know this watch strap is styled on the ones that appeared in Goldfinger and Thunderball. Look at the strap holder and you'll see “007” engraved on it, along with the limited edition number. Even the box is special. Matte black, with a three-digit code, it opens to reveal Spectre lettering and the 007 gun logo. Also, a steel strap with folding clasp, so you can change from mission to evening apparel without missing a beat.
Bond is a great British institution. He's been around a while, since 1953 to be exact, but he's managed to reinvent himself without losing his quintessential English charm, and the hardboiled qualities that make him stand out. Appropriately, the OMEGA Seamaster 300 SPECTRE Limited Edition 233.32.41.21.01.001 is a living illustration of the idea of reinvention. Retro styling and innovative features make this every inch the quintessential Bond watch. It gives more than a cursory nod to the original 1957 Seamaster, with its almost identical matte dial and wide arrow hour hands. The lollipop central seconds hand is different but overall the look and feel of the dial is modern vintage. Old dog, new tricks.
The At 41 mm in diameter, it's big enough to check at a glance but not so big it entirely dominates the wrist. It does sit quite proud on the wrist, making it seem a tad larger than it actually is.
The bracelet has a buckle clasp so you don't have to worry about it snapping free of your wrist when you're in the middle of an underwater fisticuffs routine of the Thunderball kind. Add a power reserve of 60 hours to the mix and you've got accuracy on mission length covered as well. A screw-down crown ensures water doesn't seep through and damage the movement mid-adventure.
The black dial is protected by domed sapphire glass applied with an anti-reflective treatment that minimises glare. The Rhodium plated hour hands aren't just luminescent. They're coated in Super-Luminova, which has what Omega call a “vintage” blue emission.
The rotating bi-directional bezel has a 12-hour scale so it's easy to tell the time when you've travelled to a different time zone. So far, so standard. Then you learn that it's crafted from LiquidMetal, a material that's as strong as steel but has the malleability of plastic.
Q would definitely approve of the transparent case back, through which you can view an automatic OMEGA co-axial caliber 8400 movement. He'd also be pretty impressed to learn that this movement has resistance to magnetic fields over 15,000 gauss. And Bond himself would appreciate the aesthetics: bridges and oscillating weight are adorned with arabesque Geneva waves.
Those Geneva waves, and the modern vintage look that pays homage to the 1957 Seamaster—they both prove a point made in Skyfall and again in Spectre: sometimes, the old ways are the best.
